This weekend saw some 1/10th racing for RCPB, five of the Team including our Newest Team Members Tommy and Jamie Hall headed off to the Very good Silverstone track and series. Both Tommy and Jamie are up and coming Jnr racers which we are pleased to be supporting – Big welcome to the Team guys. This weekend saw the popular Frankley Club Winter Series, and despite the gruesome weather RCPB still made it, with Ben Billing, Alex Page and Gary Gregory braving the weather to get their nitro fix. The track was slightly soggy but still raceable - well done Frankley club guys for all your hard work. All three drivers made good progress in qualifying, with Ben and Gary, 1 and 3 respectively and Alex just behind missing out narrowly on the A final. This weekend was a mixture of 1/10th and 1/8th racing for the Team, firstly it was the 2dn Round of the SWIS (Shropshire, Winter, Indoor Series) at the Grange School Shrewsbury, although not a permanent track, still a very technical track which saw 1/10th 2wd, 4wd and Micro heat. RCPB was represented by Team Bosses Chris Ely and Matt Box in 4wd, and after some hotly contested qualifying rounds the guys lined up one and two in the A final, with Chris just ahead of Matt. This weekend saw the Popular Nitro X Cross Winter series at the Ledbury Astro Track. Although there was persistent rain all week, Nathan Powney and the crew did a fantastic job of getting the track in a race-able condition and even entertained the campers with fireworks on the Saturday evening. Team RCPB hit Ledbury this weekend for the first round of the Ledbury Winter series. A great turn out of over 50 drivers and nearly a full RCPB 1/8th Nitro Turn out, with 10 RCPB team members in attendance. The Track had some changes, with a new jump section and conditions changing through the day meant it started wet/foggy/cold, then got dry and then cold and foggy/dewy for the finals.
