This weekend saw the last in the series of the SWIS (Shropshire Winter Indoor Series) at the Grange School in Shrewsbury and RCPB was once again represented by Team Bosses, Chris Ely and Matt Box, as well as Tommy and Jamie Hall and Felix de Hamel. This weekend was round 5 of the Nitro X Cross winter series take place at Frankley Model Car Club. A good turnout of over 60 drivers in both Nitro and Electric saw for a very good days racing despite the typical British weather! RCPB was represented by Milan Dragojlovic, Matt Box, Alex Page, Ben Billing, Simon White, Shaun Stenson, Simon Davies and Gary Gregory and Simeon White. Valentine’s Day doesn’t stop the RCPB guys from Racing! Lots of racing, lots of places, lots of good results! At a sunny Deerdale we had Rick “Kong” McKenzie debuting his MBX7R powered by his new RC Concepts engine. And it was a very good start with the new ride. This weekend was the BWOC (British Winter Open Champs) at Silverstone and RCPB had a big team out at this great event. The famous Blue High Grip track looked stunning with Britain’s finest 1/10th racers battling out for trophies and titles! The Team was represented by a lot of our drivers in both classes of 2wd/4wd, those being Chris Ely, Jamie and Tommy Hall, James Barker, Felix de Hamel and George Miller, and in 2wd only by Mark Fletcher, and 4wd only by Richard “Kong” McKenzie. This weekend saw the return of the popular Swindon club series, featuring Nitro buggys/Truggy’s and E-Buggy’s. RCPB were represented by Chris Lovell and his Mugen MBX7R Eco and in Nitro Ben Billing Running Sworkz Evo 2, Simon and Simeon running Mugen MBX7R, Andy Prosser with his Radiosistemi RR8 and Alex Page with his Kyosho MP9. The track held up pretty well despite the typical January weather and Both Ben and Simon had really good qualifying rounds each taking a TQ in round, Ben managed it 2x and so took Pole in the A final for the end of the day....
