Sunday 24th April 2016 saw Round 2 of the EBuggy National Series held at Kent.  RC-Pitbox were out in numbers again with five drivers – Ashley Evans, Chris Lovell, Gary Gregory, George Miller an Steve Ibbotson. It’s fair to say that the time had mixed results in their qualifying sessions. The Kent track is technical and can catch you out if you drop focus or get unlucky.  They all came through qualifying with cars in tact and ready for the finals.  The overall qualifying results are below. This weekend RCPB were once again out in force up and down the UK, in lots of events/scales and series. In the Short Course Nationals we had Jamie Hall who had a storming Day and took 2nd overall in both 2wd and 4wd. A stunning drive by the youngster in both classes, to take 2nd on the podium 2x. Jamie is rapidly becoming a top driver for the team with his brother and this year has started brilliantly. This weekend team RCPB were out in force across the country, it was George Miler who was representing the team down at Coastal Model car club with his Sworkz 2wd 1/10th, and he continued his great form by taking 2nd in the class in quail and finishing 3rd in the final. Valentine’s Day doesn’t stop the RCPB guys from Racing! Lots of racing, lots of places, lots of good results! At a sunny Deerdale we had Rick “Kong” McKenzie debuting his MBX7R powered by his new RC Concepts engine. And it was a very good start with the new ride. Kong had a great days qualifying sticking it straight in the A final, being quicker than some of the UK’s best drivers, the new power unit never missing a beat all day. This last weekend saw an abundance of racing for the RCPB Crew, with racing Friday, Saturday and Sunday! It all kicked off on Friday Evening with the first of the ESBRC indoor club nights in Shrewsbury. Team Boss Matt Box took his old XRAY 4wd along (pictured below) and ended up with a great TQ and win.
