Valentine’s Day doesn’t stop the RCPB guys from Racing! Lots of racing, lots of places, lots of good results! This weekend was the BWOC (British Winter Open Champs) at Silverstone and RCPB had a big team out at this great event. The famous Blue High Grip track looked stunning with Britain’s finest 1/10th racers battling out for trophies and titles! The Team was represented by a lot of our drivers in both classes of 2wd/4wd, those being Chris Ely, Jamie and Tommy Hall, James Barker, Felix de Hamel and George Miller, and in 2wd only by Mark Fletcher, and 4wd only by Richard “Kong” McKenzie. This weekend saw the return of the popular Swindon club series, featuring Nitro buggys/Truggy’s and E-Buggy’s. RCPB were represented by Chris Lovell and his Mugen MBX7R Eco and in Nitro Ben Billing Running Sworkz Evo 2, Simon and Simeon running Mugen MBX7R, Andy Prosser with his Radiosistemi RR8 and Alex Page with his Kyosho MP9. The track held up pretty well despite the typical January weather and Both Ben and Simon had really good qualifying rounds each taking a TQ in round, Ben managed it 2x and so took Pole in the A final for the end of the day....

Sunday 24th January saw the RCPB guys and gals at 2 venues, the Nitro guys were at Ledbury Model Car club for the latest round of their winter series and the 1/10th guys were at the SWIS in Shrewsbury. This weekend saw the return of Nitro X Cross, and the RCPB boys and girls braved the weather for a very wet and muddy round at ESBRC Grass/Dirt track situated just outside of Shrewsbury. The snowy/icy conditions made for an interesting but hard race-day with difficult conditions and lots of time needed for cleaning, but it never put the guys off with Simon Davies, Matt Box, Milan Dragojlovic, Andy Prosser, Ben Billing, Alex Page and Gary Gregory were in nitro class and Chris Lovell in the electric.
